| A HERO Goes to his final duty station 6/5/2009
A WWII, Korea, and Vietnam veteran who passed away on Friday, 05 June 2009. George was our last living Utah Medal of Honor Recipient. He earned the Medal of Honor during the battle at Iwo Jima in WWII. He also received the Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal, three Purple Hearts and numerous other medals, citations, and campaign ribbons during his long and heroic service. |
