» West Stop: She hinted that "anything can happen" during the MTV Video Music Awards, and for Taylor Swift anything that could, did. Swift was part of one of the night's most talked-about moments as rapper Kanye West interrupted her acceptance speech for Best Female Video ("You Belong With Me"). Taking the mic from her hand, West insisted it was Beyoncé who deserved to win, drawing boos and angry Tweets from the celebrity crowd. Watch here. When Beyoncé later won Video of the Year, she invited Swift back to the stage to "have her moment," here. Kanye apologized on his blog after being asked to leave the VMAs. See celebrity reactions at the bottom. As for Swift, the controversy capped a big week that included her VMA New York City subway performance, sharing the stage with Faith Hill to sing "The Way You Love Me" at Swift's sold-out Nashville concert Saturday (9/12), and becoming the youngest-ever CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee (9/9). By the way, fans also noticed Hill sporting a cast during the duet with Swift, and a spokesperson tells us Mrs. McGraw recently had surgery to repair a childhood wrist injury.

» Footloose & Dancing Free: A gimpy paw can't keep "Love Your Love The Most" singer Eric Church from rocking out on his Young & Wild(er) Tour this fall. Church fractured his foot during a recent show and has no plans to take time off and recover. "As my fans know, I get pretty excited onstage and stomp my feet," he says. "The combination of the stomping and the fact that our crowds are crazier than ever led to me breaking my foot. I refuse to miss a show over this, so for the time being, I'll be doing the rest of the shows from a stool." Complete list of dates here.

Funny girl DeGeneres takes the fourth judge's chair when the ninth season starts in January.

» Save The Last Dance For ... Ever: Sara Evans, Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks have all done it. But Brad Paisley won't be polishing his dancing shoes any time soon. "Sorry, I wouldn't do Dancing With the Stars if they showed up with a camera and a Magnum and started shooting both," Paisley says. Guess that rules out any Fred Astaire moves with co-host Carrie Underwood at the 43rd Annual CMA Awards Nov. 11.

» People Are Crazy: Before Billy Currington got ahold of it, there was almost a different voice behind his No. 1 hit single "People Are Crazy." Currington tells the Associated Press he wanted the track on his album but it was already taken. "'That song has already been recorded, and 10 people are waiting in line who want it, so don't even worry about it,'" he recalls his label telling him. Currington doesn't know who recorded it first, but he was told Alan Jackson, George Strait and Kenny Chesney were among the interested parties.
