It's December! So much to do, so little time.

10 years ago, December meant Holiday parties and hangovers.  Now, it means finding my family fun things to do in Denver.  I'm all over it this year.  Here are just a few things you and your family can do this month...

Zoo Lights

The Denver Zoo brings a bunch of animals to life with holiday lights, while the real animals stay inside where it's warm. Zoo Lights is open from 5:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. every day from Nov. 30, 2012 – Jan. 2, 2013. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $6 for children. Zoo members receive a $2 discount on tickets.

Olde Golden Christmas on Parade

In December, the streets of Golden come alive with Santa on a unicycle, Victorian carolers, and more. The parade winds its way along Washington St. at 11 a.m on Sat. Dec. 1, Sat. Dec. 8, Sat. Dec. 15 and Sat. Dec. 22. Free horse-drawn carriage rides are also offered. Free admission and free parking.

Tickets to George Strait's upcoming and final The Cowboy Rides Away tour are on sale NOW to George's fan club members in the venue's respective time zone by visiting; ticket prices begin at $69.50. General public ticketing opens on Friday (October 12th) (same time zone restraints apply). The trek, which features special guest Martina McBride, begins on January 18 in Lubbock, Texas.
