Here we are....just a couple of weeks away from Election Day....and I don't know about you, but I will be so glad for the political ads and flyers that jam up my mailbox to go by the wayside (although I did start saving and shredding them - they will make wonderful kindling for my fireplace!! hee hee!)....anyways....with the election coming, I thought this article was very cool..."Taking a look back at vintage art, ads and posters targeted to get women the vote"
Thanks to the women's suffrage movement in the 19th and early 20th centuries, Congress passed the 19th amendment in 1919, giving American women the right to vote in our country. Our female ancestors fought hard for our right to have our voices heard, so let's make 'em proud.
I don't care about your political affiliation or stance on amendments or who you are voting for....just make your voice heard.....VOTE!!! (And guys, this goes for you too!!)
