A little more than a month after husband Garth Brooks announced his long-awaited comeback
, it was Trisha Yearwood's turn.
On Tuesday night, the Grammy and CMA award winner announced a new record deal with Sony Nashville and a new album, PrizeFighter
, her first in seven years.
"I am really nervous," Yearwood admitted to several hundred friends and colleagues gathered at a party to welcome the singer/cookbook author/Food Network star back to Nashville. "I haven't been out of the house in a while! There's so much going on my management team has to text me every 30 minutes to tell me where to be and what I'm doing."
In addition to appearing with Brooks on his upcoming world tour, which kicks off in Chicago on Sept. 4, Yearwood will launch the fifth season of her Emmy-award winning show Trisha's Southern Kitchen
on Aug. 23 and the next day, will introduce her new line of Trisha's Precious Metals cookware on QVC. She'll also publish her third cookbook this spring.
